Surprise yourself with a destination like no other: Rainbow Mountain! Vinicunca Mountain offers you a dream-like landscape with the colors of the rainbow all stacked on top of one another for you to see like a multicolor mantle or a reflection of a rainbow on Earth. Vinicunca can be admired all year-round.
The peak of this hike is at approximately 5038 MASL and can be reached after a four-hour walk from the base camp. The radiant sun will accompany you all along the route and so will families of sheep, horses, and camelids like llamas and alpacas.
The imposing mountain landscape is sure to be the protagonist of your photographs.

We pick you up in cusco from your hotel between 5:00 to 5:30 am, if you are close to the office you can meet us at the office at 5:30 to start the tour. After pick up everyone we drive you towards Cusipata town for about 2 hours, once you arrive to the town we provide you breakfast and you can use toilets and stretch your legs. then we continue one more hour to the trailhead which is Chilliwani where you start the hike up to Rainbow Mountain. Around 9:00 to 9:30 am you start the hike up to the Montaña de colores which is take about 1.5 to 2 hours in the gradual uphill trail.
Once you get there you will have time to listen the explain from guide, take pictures with the Rainbow Mountain with llamas and locals and enough time to enjoy the scenery. Time to get ready to go back to the vehicle that will take you back to Cusco, YOU HAVE TWO return options. If you like you can return by the same trail that you took to climb to the rainbow mountain OR you can do something more interesting is return by the RED VALLEY, if you want to return by the red valley our guide will accompany you, It is a walk of about 2 hours back to the car but you will have the opportunity to enjoy wonderful landscapes especially if the weather is in your favor.
Once everybody meet at the car stop will return to Cusipata for a deserved lunch and then 2 hours by car to return to Cusco, usually we get back to Cusco around 5:30 p.m
