One night before you will sleep early to be ready around 5 am. You will travel in our comfortable transport with blankets to enjoy a little more sleep. After 2 hours,
We will enjoy a brief stop in Mollepata for breakfast. We will then continue to Challacancha, where we will begin our trek. First you will meet the cooks and the riders who will accompany us on the route, in addition to making a final review of the equipment.
Our way. You will start with a moderate 3-hour hike to Soraypampa (3900 masl), where we will spend our first night. The first section is relatively flat with a bit of a climb through a deep valley of glaciers. You will notice that much of the trail follows a restored Inca water channel, which is still used by local farmers today. This section is 7 km in total.
Once you arrive in Soraypampa and before lunch you will settle in our cabin where you will sleep tonight.
After enjoying lunch, it will be time to start the walk to the incredibly beautiful Humantay Lake (4,200 masl).
This round trip takes about 3 hours and covers 3 km. It’s not far, but you have to take things easy at this point. You will have some time once you reach the lake to enjoy the fantastic scenery. There are not many places in the Andes as impressive as the turquoise waters that shimmer against the Humantay Glacier.
Back at the camp, a delicious dinner will be ready and later we will remember one of the most important ceremonies in the Inca culture (offering to the Pachamama), when the night has come we will be ready to sleep, but not before taking some impressive photos with the mountains and the Milky Way.

This section of the trail is rocky and gravelly, with wonderful views down into the Chaullay Valley (gateway to the Amazon).
After an invigorating lunch, you will enter the edge of the Amazon rainforest, also known as the “cloud forest”. This part is 6 km and takes about 3 hours. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy a magical tropical forest and witness how quickly and dramatically the landscape changes from the Andes to the Amazon.
